Been busy, which is always good i say. Although I am definitely looking forward to a end of May and freedom and shopping.

We had a fire safety talk in the office in the afternoon. Honestly, i was prepared to space out for the next 1 hr. Seriously, fire safety? I haven't encountered any fire accidents so far in my life.

Thankfully, we had a good speaker, Mr David Ong, and it was surprisingly quite an enlightening talk.
A couple of things i learnt, which i thought were very valuable:

1. S'pore has 500 fire accidents in the past year. That's almost 1.5 every day. So never discount the fact that it may occur any time.
2. Dousing water on electrical appliances causes explosions and on people it causes painful blisters.
3. Cloth when stuck to your body in the heat, effectively becomes part of your skin. ouch.
4. Your hair and body are very flammable.
5. The first thing you grab in a a fire would be a water bottle, not your LV bag.(wet yourself, breathe in fresh air trapped in the bottle)
6. Smoke kills, more than the fire.
7. A fire extinguisher is the best tool to combat fire, provided you know where its located at, how to use it or even have one.

wow. it looks like a pretty long list. I learnt that even though something hasn't happened, it doesn't mean it won't ever happen.

During the week, I went for a networking session which thoroughly inspired me. The man - Dhillon shared his view on life. And how we end up living it pragmatically, without really seeing the world. So he said two things: go WALK the world and LIVE your life.
You haven't seen anything until you have seen the world on foot. He strongly advocated backpacking. So i've thought about it, why not?
Maybe in another year!

Dance is still a part of my life. Reggae on thursdays gives me something to look forward to during the draggy weekdays. And sundays gives me ultimate dance time, hip hop classes with Jacky, alex, kenny and the sister.

Turning 21 in six weeks time, and that's pretty cool! and maybe a little scary. Not like anything's going to be different, except that i might have a chance at creating a slight tip in the polls come next election. (right, who am i trying to kid)
