For dear Yushaa's benefit, I shall attempt to explain the cause for ketchup explosions.
When fermentation takes place, or when ketchup(chilli/tomato) turns bad, it releases a gas. The build-up of foul-sour smelling gases puts pressure on the bottle cap. Hence, when the unsuspecting user screws off the cap, the ketchup launches into the air in a beautiful spurt of red.
Signs, of spoilage include: tiny bubbles in the ketchup and sour, pungent smells.

I visited Borders again, since they so kindly sent off another of their 40% off voucher. I also love checking out the bargain books they have.
After 2 hours of book-hunting, I bought 2 books!

I'm consuming a book called perfume: the story of a murderer.
Interesting plot and style of writing. Very descriptive, poetic and different as it is written by a German author and translated. Set in 18th century France and has bits of philosophy here and there. hmmm.
It was made into a motion picture but I don't believe it was released here in Singapore though. (the Official website: www.perfumemovie.com)
I'm sourcing for the DVD to see how its portrayed in film and hopefully I'll be watching the aritstic interpretation soon:)

Happy Lunar New Year to one and all!
Gong Xi Fa Cai-
I had reunion dinner at aunty Johna's house, the usual steamboat, 'lo hei' or yu sheng and lots of love with glenda& gerard.
Went to church the following morning and it gave me a warm feeling that fr Brian and fr Joe remembered both of us! Minus the new hair-do I got. heh. fr Brian got caught there. Then off to Serangoon gardens for brunch, they only sold prata with egg that morning! Clever people, knowing that most eateries would be closed sunday morning. I'm sure they made a hefty profit.
Day 2&3 of Chinese new year was back to work.
It was a combination of the ugly, the sad and the funny.
An explosion of a chilli ketchup bottle here, an annoying teacher who took advantage of previleges given, a pair of lonely international students dinning in, the usual families and the odd lone soul straying in.
The explosion of chilli ketchup is one to remember! This pretty teen with gorgeous brown long curls, nice dress & makeup and her expat parents sat a corner booth. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you view the unthinkable happened. -yep and it was all over the place... you can't imagine. I couldn't, for sure. the hair, the dress, the wall behind.
I was stunned for words. Remedying the situation with plenty of wet tissues and tissues. But her dad was even curiously tickled, he exclaimed lets take out the champagne and celebrate. I wasn't decidedly in that sort of mood knowing that serious trouble could be the next thing in line. But the parents and the girl-a bit shaken maybe? didn't complain.phew.

Doodle is a white, fluffy rabbit. Loves her vegetables and poking fun at Woof. Her next favourite hobby is sleeping.
Woof! is a Balinese cat with long silky white coat. She loves to play with the multi-coloured ball!
