All that stood between access to the jetty at B. reservoir was a simple door.
Yes, so you can imagine. We scaled railings ignoring the poor excuse of a door for keeping unwanted people out.
Elina brought brandy this time, it tastes a lil' better compared to bacardi but still burns the throat. hehe.
I learnt how to play Gin today! Loser drinks a cap of brandy. whahaha!
The jetty has the best unobscured view of the night and the water, offering good breeze and best of all no insects or pests! yay.
Though the slightest movement causes the whole float thingy to sway about. There were bubble sounds emerging below the float jetty. Kinda freaky at first, like something's going to emerge from the dark recesses of the lake. haha.
Haze or not. It was a cool, beautiful night.
I wanna house by the lake. Anyone watched the lake house, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra? Yep, something like that. It doesn't have to be completely made of glass.
No one passed out. So enjoyed each other's company:)

Ms Peter's lessons, always intrigue me with her life experiences and knowledge shared using her wit and humour!
More recently, her experience with a homocidal convict and racist person.
Anyway, she did suggest we google "Spencer Wells" in our free time, and this is what is writtten on the National Geographic website:
Excerpt:
By collecting blood samples from thousands of men living in isolated tribes around the world and analyzing their DNA, 34-year-old geneticist Spencer Wells and his colleagues discovered that all humans alive today can be traced back to a small tribe of hunter-gatherers who lived in Africa 60,000 years ago.
Following this genetic trail, Wells has charted the ancient journey of our ancestors as they populated the planet, continent by continent. The story is told in the 2002 National Geographic documentary The Journey of Man: A Genetic Odyssey and the book of the same name.
Cool huh?
All of our DNA consists a fragment of African DNA! whoa.
Tell that to some racist person, and he/she'll be blown away. speechless. if effective.

The first thing that hit me was the smell of the place, it smelt of fresh, NEW books. haha! But after awhile you got sick of it.
It was more of an eye-opener compared to the visit to SPH the last time. The design and content had to be printed on huge 'toilet rolls' of paper which weighed any where between 700kg to 1 ton( 1000kg) Imagine that! After which it'll be cut down to size, sewed together using cotton thread, spine will be slathered with a layer of glue and on goes the spine and book cover. voila! Out comes the book!
Elf was saying you could get a high just sniffing the vat of glue used to coat the spine.hehe! Nearly everything was automated using machines. whoa!
I felt like a little girl in a chocolate factory, in this case- admiring the process of the entire creation of a book!
Thien Wah is an internationally-renowned company that advocates environmentally friendliness and has clients from all over the world, Europe, America, Australia, South Africa, Japan...
We were also given a commemorative souvenir book of the company- it's 70 years old!
CDA presentation was a breeze, too much of a breeze which freaked me out coz' I was the last person to present... I suppose that Ms Nga's also pretty tired by the time she reaches me. ah well *crosses fingers*
M&PP its' your turn now...

This is random- but I get annoyed when I enter Guardian pharmacy and get approached by sales people to buy skin products that claim to 'banish pimples' and give you 'clear skin'. I've been through enough trial and errors, buying useless products to know it won't work. At least for me.
Last night, had supper at Lau Par Sat with Yen, Sheena and May after work. I was tired but I haven't seen them in ages and we haven't had a decent meal together since our last steamboat which was er... a few months back? Sheena brought us to eat Fatman Satay and lala!! the stingray was pretty good too! They just kept ordering and we couldn't finish the food. Poor May has to make some big decisions about her work. Had a good time. Oh! a cute guy chatted with Sheena mostly. Left at about 2! Had work the following morning,*groans* had to drag myself out of bed....

Well, well, well what an entertaining evening.
Luckily, I managed to reach harbourfront at 6.30pm after rushing out of the house. It was Volunteers Appreciation Night at VivoCity for us!
Met Jasmine and Qian Lin at the registration booth.
Registered and we were off to the 3rd floor rooftop garden!
It was a nice balmy evening, despite the haze, the nice sea breeze made up for it. Jamie Yeo and Edmund were our hosts/emcees for the event, I applaud them for their enthusiasm. Our Prime Minister also made a 10 minute speech, by then most stomachs were rumbling.hehe.*not mine!
There were belly dancing, Magnum Force made an appearance, some bike stunts and best of all---- Hady Mirza sang 3 songs!!
And I was in the 'mosh pit' aptly named by Jamie and Edmund with Qian Lin, blindly screamin and singing along with him. One lucky fan offered Hady a tissue which he promptly wiped his sexy sweat-dripping forhead and returned to the fan! OMg!!!
Foodie time!
The buffet tables lines, stretched endlessly, thankfully we got our food soon. There was even a whole lamb on a spit roasting. haha!
Satay. Char kway teow. Kuehs. fruits. Teh tarik. lime juice.
Found a nice lil' spot not too far off and soaked in the atmosphere. ahhh...
* SNap. Snap*
oh yes. we took an obscene amount of photographs, I feel almost ashamed to mention. whaahaha! right.

There is a constant dull drilling that echos throughout my room.
BRRRRR.... pause. brrrrr!
Guess what?
They're building a lift for my flat. wheee...
oh, but I forgot to mention my flat only happens to be 4 storeys TALL!
Why oh why- do we need a lift?
It's dusty and noisy, add on to the haze- PSI about 100.
I probably won't even use the lift, since I'm living on the 2nd flr!

Last night was crazy, almost as crazy as the last chalet we had.
What started out as a seemingly lovely night by the lake, with nice poetry-story told by me:)
This comic book titled " Slop: Analecta" by Dave crosland and Debbie very talented and creative artists.
Scary story: the day mr Foobles got out...
Everyone's favourite part! (centre section) when Miriam screamed at Mr Foobles after she kicked him square in the jewels! haha!
The whole story rhymed. Love it. love it!
We found out once again...
Next time I see another glass of cherryade and bacardi, I'm going to run for the hills and hide.
Faiz and Elina you're the angels in disguise. Otherwise we'd never make it home in one piece. Thank you darlings!:)
I'm sorry if I gave you both a hard time. haha.
Yushaa, Yushaa what will we ever do with you? nearly gave us all premature worry lines.
Getting drunk, high, tipsy, ain't it all the same?
Isn't puke-worthy, worth it.

Yesterday I asked someone the question:
2. Was when I caught dengue fever about 3 years ago. The symptoms of dengue fever were vague and similar to fever and common flu. It was a difficult time for me, couldn't eat otherwise I'll just vomit and fever. The doctors' couldn't diagnose the illness till the rash appeared on my feet, it wasn't itchy. Those trying moments, were kinda scary. When I was hospitalised, my sister thought of me dying. I thought that I was going to die, nothing the doctors' prescribed seemed to help.
3. Last night, I was crossing the road when I motocycle, I did not see suddenly came out of nowhere, sped past me. Only inches away from the motorbike. I felt a rush of panick and adrenaline. It was an awful feeling, thought that he was going to knock me down.

This weekend was a roller coaster of highs and lows.
Each high was brought down to a low and each low to a high.
Need I emphasise more?
Low:
Left my hp in the girls toilet and discovered it missing when I went back to look for it. Dawn tried to call but to no avail. sob' Anyway there's no point fretting I was off to watch the musical!
On a brighter note, I wanted a new phone anyway. I bought the Nokia6070 the following day. My number is retained, phew!
New phone has better functions:) but the ringtones are not worthy mentioning.
High...
The SP Superstar Musical was fantastic. The SSO played the music, the props and sets were quite interesting. I love Mel's frizzy hair. muahaha! *let's get LOud!screeches... The dance choreography and singing got standard okay?! Mr S.R Nathan was there. HellO, COokie monster got to shake his hand too. Thanks to Felicia and Dawn for being there for me!

She's still a baby to me:) although we're 2 yrs apart. ha!
We went to the aracade at Suntec and we played Daytona and Drum mania. Fun lah! It's been long, Long time since I played at arcade!
haha.
We found the elusive Sky garden!

Yep, it was prett hazy up here. PSI was in the region of 120. Later that night it climbed to 150!After that, we went to check out NEW yOrk, New YOrk, because the birthday girl wanted to eat there. We queued almost half an hour. Dinner crowds on Saturday nights' are a killer! Joceyline joined us later.
Our dinner...
Carbonara and roast chicken for Tiff. Superb!
I got brawrust sausages wrapped in bacon and covered in melteed cheese! *double Yum!
Tiff ordered the tequila sunrise cocktail *where's the alcohol? couldn't taste it!
Joce the spaghetti with meatballs! *be more generous with sauce!
service charge, CESS and GST amounted to nearly $9!
Yes, you can do your sums.
Free- apple flavoured candy floss too!! I did my first candy floss! yum.

Tiff opens presents...
Pleasures, Estee Lauder from beloved sis

Thinks she left it at the arcade! We walk back to Suntec to find lost wallet.
Joce treated us to ice-creams from New Zealand in effort to cheer worried sister. Alas, we did not find it. poor dearie.

I am the Toilet ambassador now for the Rest Room Association of Singapore!
Yes, we are tasked to create a board game for our CDA module to educate primary school kids about good toilet habits.
I can almost feel kind readers sniggering.
But it is no easy feat. Coz' kids are the picky-est LOT!
This is a unique project thus far.
Shall attempt it to ze' best of my ability, I hope.
We do need the students of SP to play it too!
SB students are seriously in need of toilet education, the toilets are in a very sad condition.
Do not fear, hopefully salvation lies somewhere ahead!:)

The Visit to our Naitonal Musuem was a BLAST!
It was far from dull, boring and stuffy.
In fact, we had a really good time.
Our tour guide was a bubbly, funky girl.

The architecture of the National museum has been preserved with a Roman pillar columns and neo-planian style stucture and modern aspects in the new wing.
The first sight that greets you is this lovely dome... in coloured stained glass. The beautiful noon sun really brought out the myriad of colours and patterns.

Lucky us got access to the balcony where we had this view of the fish-scale- dome against the city backdrop.

This is the iceberg is part of the SIngapore Biennalle exhibits...
This metal-lattice structure looks like a strawberry too!

It's so cool... Up close...

And from different angles... it creates different forms...

Dawn, Sha and me!

The divide separating the NEW wing from the old musuem.
Another Biennalle exhibit at the concourse.
I love the way skylights allow natural sunlight in.
And when it started raining you could watch the raindrops making patterns on the glass above. so pretty.

The Art of Cartier exhibition!! Diamonds. Bling.bling. Oh, the beautiful baubles worth 100's of millions of dollars.
Something I probably wouldn't be able to afford this lifetime. haha.
Free entry!
This chilli pepper is about 2metres high!
Behind it, Fort canning.

After that Elina and I went to visit Yushaa's mum at Tan Tock Seng hospital.
Hope her mum gets better soon!
Don't tire yourself out Yushaa, you need to take care of yourself too!
Anyone wanna go visit the National Musuem???:)
