What would it cost, me , YOU or anyone to spare a few kind words for a good service rendered or the good meal served?? nothing, maybe just a few precious moments. And yet, it would certainly make someone's day, besides yours. Its a norm, a culture in other parts of the world, let's learn and adopt such a habit. shall we?

I'm glad for people like Michael Moore who uses the mass media like movies to get his message across in a very effective manner.
We don't have to look far for flaws in the healthcare systems.
Singapore a developing country (considered developed in most terms) is another fine example of a country in need to review its healthcare system. We could thank the government for the Medisave, Medifund and subsidy when staying class B or C wards, but I wonder what scheme they have for the neglected, homeless and the poor.
I know of someone who works in the IMH (Institute of Mental Heatlh). And it seems that the homeless who suffer from amnesia, old folks with nowhere to go, no family or simply no clue of their identity end up there. They are individuals who have no one else to turn to or simply abandoned. They lead a simple life, under the care of the kind caregivers goodwill.
Occasionally, you have the odd accident, because of fragile bones. Yet no one will pay for their medical expenses. Sadly, they are left to die slowly, with that condition. These elderly who built this nation to what it is today, has been left upon the shelf-forgotten and not cherished.
No healthcare policy that will allow them to age gracefully, no fund to aid their medical expenses and they suffer to the end as they did, when they first started out.
Not everyone is fortunate enough.
As always there are cracks in the system and others will bear the brunt of it.
