Caught SICKO with the girls: Sha, Shen & Dawn in theatre.

and Michael Moore outdid himself with this film-documentary about the healthcare system in America. (aka the land where healthcare is universal & available for every person) *spoilers ahead

Its so twisted once, you go beneath the pretty exterior that the president & senators sell you on tv. the PR stuff. It operates more like a business than a welfare organisation. It stuns you literally.

Health insurance companies are not there to help you. The hospitals don't even offer you treatment, esp. when they find out that you can't pay. (whether through subsidy from insurance co. or monetary means) - they literally dump you elsewhere. (ie. charitable hospitals)

It gets even sicker as the documentary unfolds. You find that Al-Qaeda terrorists detained in the Guantanamo Bay prison get a full scale healthcare provided for them. Plus, nutritionists to keep track of their diet. WTH?! And then you have this little girl who was denied treatment at the hospital just because its not covered by the insurance policy.- she died.
And yes, it unfair and horrible.

Even, countries like Cuba, Britain, France- all provide free healthcare for their citizens.

Hence, the average lifespan of Americans really is quite low.

Mainly because they don't believe in preventive cure, and it takes a toll on its people.

Even, 911 Survivor volunteers who came down with lung/ breathing related ailments, can't even afford treatment- or have access to the 911 heroes fund because they were not directly hired under the fireman brigade or affiliated govt. associations.

Its sad. Just sad.

The simple rationale that every human being should have access to affordable if not free healthcare seems like a foreign issue to the conglomerates who have turned it into a very profitable market- healthcare.

Go watch SICKO. It kicks-ass.

Yes, you'll feel sick after watching the movie.
Just like Fahrenheit 9/11.
It's so controversial. And you'll definitely see America in a diff. light.
Next time you take on insurance, you'd also probably read the fine print too!
