This article caught my eye:

"Cashed up, 20-something women are more interested in Manolo Blahniks than finding a man and settling down, a leading demographer says.
And their Generation Y counterparts are refusing to grow up, stretching out their teenage years until age 29 and eating away at their parents' savings for longer, according to Bernard Salt.
Mr Salt, a partner at KPMG and author of The Big Picture, said values had shifted "180 degrees" in the last 30 years, with modern youth uncommitted to careers and relationships and more willing to experiment with life.
One of the greatest changes among Generation Y-ers, currently aged between 14 and 29, was the ageing Aussie bride, he said.
While their baby boomer mothers were tying the knot at 21, today's young woman was delaying marriage until at least 29 - more interested in investing in upscale designer-label shoes and shopping up a storm."

Well I guess in some ways I can't blame women to live in such a materialistic society to become that way. They grow up with luxuries and are mostly career-minded. The last thing on their minds are probably starting a family... Maybe to have a companion to grow old with but that's about it. That's kinda sad. It shows what mankind has evolved into... some robotic money-obssessed monster- yea i'm exaggerating
